Facing the final boss on Monday. Interviewing for jobs is like playing video games. Except you only get one shot to beat each boss.
Finished an on-site today. Was almost late to the meeting because I sunk a DJI osmo into the ocean and then hit my buddy MM in the head with my board. I tried something interesting during this meeting. I gave very candid answers to the questions. I didn't formally prepare. Whenver the interviewer asked a question I told her exactly the story from my life that first comes to mind. Sometimes by just naming that story, I found it easy for my mind to transition to a better story. Don't know if I passed the interview, but I felt very honest and felt I gave the interviewer an honest representation of who I am and what it is like to work with me. If that is not a good fit then it is good to know now rather than after starting the job.
Have an on-site on Monday. I really want to do well. Going to do build some test full-stack apps over the weekend. Building the army. Or rather training the army we're taking to war.
Went to the garden today with AH. Rained for the first hour so we hung out and ate octopus related snacks. Then worked in the mud until we reached a good stopping point, or perhaps when the sun set. Gardening is like programming for me. Once I get started I don't stop until someone says it is time to stop.
Maybe we stopped because the sun set. I am nothing more than a Harvest Moon character. I always worked my character way past sunset and that would usually cause issues.
Going to watch Howl's Moving Castle. Revisiting what this is all about.
