2020 was a year that forced me to muse and try new things. Although I did mention introspection, I do think I could have acted more to develop a stronger identity around my lifestyle. Some new interests and activities I picked up through 2020:

road cycling starting in July (thanks to bro)
first dive into ML and big data infrastructure engineering
went on multiple dates and made connections
read consistently with and without bookclub
memorized more piano pieces
created film club at work
organized personal finance
bought personal website domain
successfully launched work project globally
impromptu solo tripped to Seattle
stuck to consistent exercise routine
learned to stand my ground and stress communication and trusting my gut feeling however scary making the decision feels
developed a deeper relationship with parents
infused an even more profound appreciation for film stories and music.

✨

If 2020 were a year of exploration and introspection, I want 2021 to be a year of execution. Taking the wheel and charging confidently through motions of life.

Some of my 2021 resolutions:

Stay true to your instincts. If it feels wrong, speak out (avoid doing things because they only look good on the outside; pursue only when it also feels right on the inside; over time, the decision you've made from your gut feeling will feel right).
Be radically transparent. Communicate all your needs and desires.
Speak with clear intentions. And stand by your words.
Make slow irreversible decisions and fast reversible decisions. Once decided, watch and let the chips fall in your direction.
Bias for moving. Keep moving because time only moves forward.
Keep minimal and default to saying no first.
Relish and enjoy every moment and sensation of life.

Here's to a brighter year. 🥂
