Everything Flows

"No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.”- Heraclitus Quiet, my friend, nothing is still. Not this world, with its x, y and z-axis shifting with time. Not this body, which replaces its dying cells as we speak. Not this memory, as it changes things I remember, every time I visit it and tampers itself. And certainly not us, as we try and hold on to our ideas of 'us' looking onto a sunset that is constantly in a state of flux. Nothing will ever be the same. You're as old and young as you'll ever be again. Everything you experience is new and you can only live through it once. Life is like Heisenberg's uncertainty principle. Your estimate about everything you know is probably incorrect. Quiet my friend, nothing is still.
