when faced with a recent life-changing decision, i had the rare experience of having my mind made up—which is not at all representative of most of my major decision-making. i tend to overanalyze.

this time, it took me no time at all to come up with an answer. not because i didn't have other options, but rather, because somehow i have always known since the end of the very first conversation that this was going to be something extraordinary, and i would regret it for the rest of my life if i didn't pursue this.

the other choices will always be there. but this one, at this point in time, is once in a lifetime.
