Things I learned from swim

  1. Pay attention to the most routine things, like breathing. If you fuck that up, you're totally boned for everything else.

  2. Engage your core. Instead of flailing around like a floppy fish.

  3. Practice > theory. You can theorize all you want and get really in your head about something. But there's no substitute for actually engaging the muscles and getting the strokes in.

  4. If it feels natural, it's probably how you're supposed to do it.

  5. I have no triceps.
